12th House in Vedic Astrology
Bhava 12, Vyaya, speaks of expense and loss: a cadent house and the last of the trika, where what leaves is not necessarily lost.
Bhava 12 has an unambiguous name: Vyaya, expense and loss. It stands for what flows away. Last of the trika, the group of the three difficult houses, it is also cadent.
Do not confuse outflow with loss. Here you place money spent for a noble cause, the bed, travel within the country, but also distant journeys and liberation, moksha. Shani signifies it for expense. As for liberation, it can also be read through Ketu.
Its lord has no color of its own. Like those of the 2nd and the 8th, it takes on the color of the graha it is associated with. Add to this the reversed rule of the difficult houses: a benefic placed in the 12th keeps loss away, a malefic makes it grow.
Paying the train ticket of a friend who has no money, then switching off your phone and sleeping: that is bhava 12, and it is no disaster.
The axis of the 12th house
Ketu is very much at ease here in the sixth house, bhava 6. The picture is highly favorable: greatness of soul, firmness, a lasting good reputation, wishes fulfilled. Add authority and adversaries you keep under control, which should be understood as strength of character more than a guaranteed victory. Then come kindness toward those close to you and the image of a generous, learned person.
Rahu is then in the twelfth house, bhava 12, and the mood changes: this gives someone who spends freely and acts in secret.
One node bright, the other discreet. Each of the Moon's nodes is examined on its own.
