Venus in the 12th House
Shukra in bhava 12: pleasures of the senses and brilliance, or loosened ties with kin; on possessions, the readings contradict each other.
Splendor on one side, family drifting away on the other: the readings do not look at the same thing. For Shukra, Venus, in bhava 12, the twelfth house, some evoke the pleasures of the senses and brilliance, others broken or loosened ties with kin. On possessions they flatly contradict each other, so read no promise into it. What remains is a taste for everything that sparkles, and family tables where your seat is sometimes left empty.
Venus in the 12th House, day to day
Shukra in the twelfth house has two faces, and you will probably recognize one of them. The first is that of sensory pleasures: a beautiful hotel room, a hot bath, a big meal, soft fabrics, everything that shines and delights. You know how to give yourself luxurious pauses, and you enjoy them fully.
The second concerns family ties. You may feel that the family is drifting away, that a cousin no longer gives news, that at the big table your seat sometimes stays empty. This is not a judgment on you, just a distance that sets in, often because you live far away or need solitude.
As for possessions, it is best to presume nothing. Depending on your choices, money flows into pleasures or is kept for distant projects. This house is also that of rest, of foreign lands, of intimacy. You can find a real sweetness of living here. One way to live this placement well: keep a regular link with two or three loved ones, a call each week, and set aside part of your income before treating yourself to pleasures.
